Messer employees live and work in Central Ohio. We’re working with organizations like OhioHealth, the City of Columbus, and Nationwide Realty Investors to change the face of downtown with complex building projects. Other Central Ohio clients who come to Messer for repeat building experiences include Ohio Dominican University, Ashland and Mount Carmel Health.
While we're changing the skyline, we’re also strengthening Central Ohio communities by providing leadership and financial support to organizations like the United Way of Central Ohio, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts, Ohio Special Olympics, and others. Our commitment to including local minority- and woman-owned businesses on every Messer project further strengthens Central Ohio.
Awards
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio and the AGC of America gave Messer-built Columbus projects two prestigious awards, the “Build Ohio” award and the “Build America” award (respectively), for our renovation of the Ohio Judicial Center. The "Build America" award is like an Oscar® for the construction industry.
Most recently, the AGC of Ohio awarded the Surgical and Heart Center at Grant the "Build Ohio" award for "New Construction Projects above $10 million."
Spotlight
The City of Columbus has hired Messer as its construction manager for the high-profile Scioto Mile project. The landscaped riverside public promenade is designed to make downtown a more attractive place to live and work, spurring economic development.
Messer gave a $25,000 Messer Foundation Grant to The Boys & Girls Club of Columbus. The grant was used to fund repairs to a facility that provides a safe haven for more than 350 Columbus at-risk north-side youth.
