People

Mary Beth Wright consults with building owners who are making decisions about future projects and introduces them to Messer. Contact Mary Beth if you’d like to consult with Messer about an upcoming project.

Messer’s people don’t just build in Lexington, they live in Lexington and work to improve our community every day. Our clients include health care organizations like Fleming County Hospital and Bluegrass Orthopedics, The University of Kentucky and Blue Grass Airport.

Clients with “green” building needs rely on our expertise. With Berea College, we’ve been building environmentally-friendly, sustainable buildings like Lincoln Hall, the first LEED®-certified building in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

We also build sustainable communities by giving our time, energy and financial support to the United Way of the Bluegrass, LexArts, Daniel Boone Chapter of the American Red Cross, KET Public Television, and many others. Messer also builds our Lexington community by including local minority- and woman-owned businesses on all our projects.

Awards

Women Leading Kentucky, in conjunction with The Lane Report, gave Messer its 2007 Top Business for Women Award.

The Kentuckiana Minority Business Council has awarded Messer its “Supplier of the Year” award for our support of minority- and woman-owned businesses for three consecutive years.

The Associated General Contractors of Kentucky (AGC) has awarded Messer its prestigious “Build Kentucky” award for many Lexington construction projects. The Associated Builders and Contractors’ Kentuckiana Chapter (ABC) has also awarded Messer its “Award of Excellence.” Some of our award-winning projects include:

  • University of Kentucky Student Housing
