Carl Dennin
Indianapolis Region Operations Vice President and Messer Health Care Segment Leader

Carl joined Messer in 2002 after earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University. In 2007, he relocated to Indianapolis to help establish and build Messer’s presence in the state. Carl has more than 20 years of experience leading construction projects across various sectors, including health care facilities, data centers, parking structures, and complex commercial and infrastructure developments. He has overseen more than 150 projects as part of IU Health account leadership—including the IU Health Fishers Community Impact Project and the Riley Maternity & Newborn Health renovation—and Cincinnati Children’s Special Projects.
Beyond his role in operations, Carl plays a key part in shaping Messer’s future workforce as the hiring and recruiting lead for new employees. He also serves as the executive lead for the Messer Young Professionals group in Indianapolis. A dedicated industry advocate, Carl is a Certified Healthcare Constructor and an active member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. He co-chaired the 2023 Hard Hats with Heart campaign for the American Heart Association and currently serves on its Executive Leadership Committee.
In the community, Carl has served on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis since 2014, contributed to the Construction Advisory Council for both Purdue University and Ball State University, and volunteered in the children’s ministry at his local church.
