The Christ Hospital Wins National Design Award

The Christ Hospital Joint & Spine Center recently won the American Institute of Architects’ prestigious National Healthcare Design Award – one of only seven projects in the country. According to the AIA’s website, this award showcases “the best of healthcare building design, healthcare planning and healthcare design-oriented research.”
The Joint and Spine Center, completed in June 2015, is a 381,000 sf facility dedicated to comprehensive joint and spine services. This project also includes an 850-vehicle parking structure with pedestrian bridge as well as a 20,000 sf Material Management Building. Messer Construction Co. served as construction manager, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) served as the architect.
