Description

This project was designed and built to exceed LEED Platinum certifications and receive Material Petal Recognition under the Living Building Challenge. It is a 41,500 sf, 123-bed residence hall. Students were actively involved from design through construction and how to maintain the building.

  • Project team diverted nearly 1 million pounds of waste from landfills.
  • Forest Stewardship Council project certification for “Full Chain of Custody.”
  • ASHRAE Technology Award (at the society level) Honorable Mention.
  • Living Building Challenge (LBC) Petal Recognition by the International Living Future Institute.
