Description

To carry on their 140-year rich tradition in whiskey production, a new shipping and bottling facility was needed. Messer was selected for this project due to our exceptional performance on past work conducted with the Brown-Forman Corporation. There are three pre-engineered metal buildings (the West Warehouse, East Warehouse and Process Building) and two conventional steel buildings (Shipping Office and Front Office). The project includes new office spaces, employee break areas, cafeteria, patio, walking trail, locker rooms, QC labs and maintenance areas, along with warehousing, processing, and bottling space.

Our innovative approach to construction scheduling allowed us to inspect small sections of the completed work sooner, therefore enabling our team to address punch list items early in the process, make corrections and work most efficiently throughout the project.

Features

  • There are around 300 employees working in this facility and another 100 in other buildings on the property. Messer remained in constant communication with the owner to ensure employee safety. We successfully completed this project without interrupting daily operations for a facility that often must continue running 24/7.
  • The project received AGC of Tennessee Award of Excellence (2019).
