Description

Makino, Inc. is a manufacturing company providing automotive, aerospace, general machining, medical, construction and die/mold products and services to companies across the globe. The two-story 190,000 sf expansion included steel frame and metal panel exterior additions to the existing Makino Tool building, office spaces, classrooms, state-of-the-art auditorium, and a cafeteria. 

 

Features

  • 20" to 32" floor slabs designed to resist vibration from the neighboring interstate and support the 30-ton manufacturing equipment load.
  • Two 80-ft overhead crane bays and two 60-ft overhead crane bays, each equipped with sidewall traveling jib cranes.
  • Very aggressive, accelerated schedule requiring fast-track design and construction.
  • Messer returned nearly $1 million in savings to Makino via value engineering.
