Description

This 300,000 sf facility master plan comprised of five projects, including a two-story addition, emergency department expansion and renovation, lab renovation, renovation of three existing patient floors, addition of three operating rooms, refurbishment of 12 existing operating rooms, infrastructure upgrades, and an open heart unit renovation. The skin of the hospital was stripped and replaced with metal panels for an updated look.

 

Features

  • Throughout the construction of all five projects, the project team maintained high levels of communication with the hospital so it could remain operational 24/7/365. This was accomplished through phasing solutions and successfully implementing our 5S safety components as part of our Zero Injury culture.
  • A four-story parking garage was constructed at the same time as expanding the emergency department by 50%. This efficiency to the project saved 18 months on the schedule.
  • The emergency department remained fully operational during its expansion and during the new bed tower construction. Through creative phasing, the hospital maintained its census and had no drops in their Q scores.
