Description

The 75,000 sf warehouse expansion includes 45,000 sf of space for pallet storage and 30,000 sf of operational space on campus. It is on a site accessible by the existing warehouse. The project includes all equipment, interior finishes and infrastructure needed to operate.

Features

  • The project is being constructed in direct alignment with the centerline of an airport runway less than a mile away and requires coordination and permitting through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to utilize cranes.
  • Although Roche does not pursue LEED accreditation, they have high sustainability goals like achieving Zero Carbon status by 2030. They have developed design directives around sustainability referred to as K-directives. Some of the Zero Carbon Building Standards include: no use of refrigerant, avoid the use of natural gas, and strict Energy Usage Index (EUI) criteria.
